The Baal Shem Tov, or Besht —  the founder of Chasidism —
met the soul of the Messiah during an ascent to heaven.
The Besht asked him, "When will the Master come?"
The Messiah answered, "When your wellsprings break forth to the outside!"
(from a letter written by the Besht to his brother-in-law about one of his soul ascents)

Donations

Your donations help us maintain, update and improve this site. You'll be able to listen to more songs, find more prayers, learn more Torah, and use new features. (It takes hours to process recordings, and the backlog of music waiting to be put online is more than what's already there!) Please the Google Checkout button to donate any multiple of $5, 13, or 18.

NOTE THAT GOOGLE CHECKOUT HAS FAILED TO FORWARD TO NEOHASID ANY DONATIONS MADE SINCE THE FALL NOR PROCESSED ANY MADE SINCE LAST SUMMER. PLEASE WRITE TO rebduvid86 @ gmail.com FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DONATE.

Why 13? The number 13 is the gematria for three precious ideas: unity echad – א=1 + ח=8 + ד= 4, love ahavah – א=1 + ה=5 + ב=2 + ה=5, and the thirteen attributes of mercy. $18 (for life, chai ח=8 + י=10) is the most common "Jewish" number for donation. Donate any multiple of $5 by clicking that option more times. For less than $5 (or if you don't want to make online payments), you can send a check to Neohasid.org c/o Beit Ahavah, P.O. Box 28, Northampton MA 01061. You can also make a small donation through the iPhone app store by buying the neohasid Omer Counter! (Thanks to David Cooper for porting it to the iPhone!) Please e-mail David Seidenberg at rebduvid86 at gmail.com if you have any questions, suggestions, or wonderful ideas.
