The Baal Shem Tov, or Besht —  the founder of Chasidism — 
met the soul of the Messiah during an ascent to heaven. 
The Besht asked him, "When will the Master come?" 
The Messiah answered, "When your wellsprings break forth to the outside!"

Atah Chonen

A nigun from Reb Moshe Ahron for "V'atah chonen", from the fourth brakhah of the weekday Amidah. This nigun was collected at the Ohalah conference in Boulder in between sessions, hence the background conversations. Reb Moshe Aharon taught the song as Chabad; Cantor Richard Kaplan recognized it as a Kalever nign (from Hungary). Since Chabad is known for absorbing many nigunim from many sources, it may be both.
