The Baal Shem Tov, or Besht —  the founder of Chasidism —
met the soul of the Messiah during an ascent to heaven.
The Besht asked him, "When will the Master come?"
The Messiah answered, "When your wellsprings break forth to the outside!"
(from a letter written by the Besht to his brother-in-law about one of his soul ascents)

Donations

Help us maintain, update and improve this site. You'll be able to listen to more songs, find more prayers, learn more Torah, and use new features. You can donate to neohasid by donating through the Shalom Center, www.shalomctr.org.

Make sure you check "In honor of/in memory of" and write in "neohasid". If you want neohasid to receive your donation, please also write to rebduvid86 at gmail to let us know so we can alert the Shalom Center. Thanks!!

Suggested donation: any multiple of $5, 13, or 18. Why 13? The number 13 is the gematria for three precious ideas: unity echad – א=1 + ח=8 + ד= 4, love ahavah – א=1 + ה=5 + ב=2 + ה=5, and the thirteen attributes of mercy. $18 (for life, chai ח=8 + י=10) is the most common "Jewish" number for donation. If you don't want to make online payments, you can send a check to Neohasid.org c/o Beit Ahavah, P.O. Box 28, Northampton MA 01061. You can also make a small donation through the iPhone app store by buying neohasid's Omer Counter.
